Hey April.
Yeah it's me - the always late one. Sorry that I couldn't get back until now - especially since I'd gained many strides in catching up.
It's so funny (not ha ha funny) that you said you were moving cause I was too. It wasn't my childhood home, but it was an apartment that I loved. My computer was dismantled so I couldn't even read up-dates.
521!! Girl did you test my patience!
As an avid reader, that is a
great thing. You really make us feel (mostly rage
) but in spite of the bad there is always good. It
was well rounded.
That was a sweet ending. The only thing missing was Isabelle standing somewhere in the background seeing what she tried to wreck.
So - favorite character. Loving Michael is a no-brainer but hands down for me it was Kyle.He was so gullibly lovable and where was his baby Frank?
Worst character ever was a toss between Isabelle and Max. They are the Devil's spawn.
Strange were Max's bouts of conscience. When reading, you want to believe that he isn't all bad but then almost in the same breath; he does or says something completely awful.
Isabelle - I can't say enough about her. I understand that the way you are raised has a lot to do with the way you are as an adult but there comes a point in time that you have to let all the hurt and anger go and think before you set things in motion.
I know that she didn't physically hurt anyone but what would have happened if her plan had worked and her baby got sick. This is just an example. Maybe he would have needed blood or marrow from his father which Michael was not.
Anyway April, I'm done rambling. That was a great story and I am anxious to read the sequel. Can I give you my wish list?
You know that I'm gonna…
In spite of Alex's troubles, he is smart. I would love to see that Max gives him a job. It could help him save his company in the long run. It's my hope that Isabelle doesn't take advantage of him, and I hope that she is a great mom to that poor baby who is unfortunate to have been born to her.
You've already foreshadowed more dark clouds and thorns so I will brace myself for another great read.
Come back soon,
D
